Services for those seeking a feminine aesthetic
We offer various options to transfeminine and non-binary individuals seeking a fuller chest.
Breast augmentation
A transgender woman or non-binary individual who has been unable to achieve the level of fullness they are hoping for through gender-affirming hormones, and who is keen to increase the size of their breasts, may opt for breast augmentation or augmentation mammoplasty.
The procedure involves placing an implant made of soft silicone gel inside the breast to add more volume and enhance the shape. It is usually performed as a day case procedure, under general anaesthetic.
Breast augmentation is available in a range of sizes depending on the individual’s physical make-up and desired outcomes. Dr Di Taranto is also able to perform other forms of breast surgery and revision surgery.
All options can be discussed during the consultation. To book an appointment click here.

The surgery involves the following key steps:
- Incision Placement: An incision is made, generally under the breast, creating a pocket into which the implant is inserted.
- Implant Positioning: The surgeon will then customise the implant position, based on the goals defined during the consultation with the patient.
- Closure: After the implant has been satisfactorily placed and positioned, the incision is closed and dressed.
Fat grafting
The distribution of fat differs between natal males and natal females due to hormonal disparities. Feminising hormone therapy can aid in redistributing fat in those assigned male at birth. However, a procedure known as fat grafting can result in more notable changes. The procedure involves transferring fat from less desirable areas like the abdomen and excess fat pockets above the hips (love handles) to regions such as the breasts, hips, buttocks, and thighs to create a more balanced shoulder to hip ratio, more commonly associated with a typically feminine silhouette.
This minimally invasive surgery involves the following key steps:
- Agree Target Areas: We work closely with the patient to agree the areas to be targeted.
- Fat Harvesting: Together with the patient we identify the area of the body from which a small amount of fat will be harvested, such as the lower abdomen.
- Purification: The fat is purified and small incisions are made in the area being targeted, into which the purified solution is injected using small cannulas.
- Closure: The small incisions are closed using dissolvable stitches.
